Plan Nacional para el Buen Vivir 2013 - 2017

General information

This National Plan for Good Living is a macro policy of the Ecuadorian State, in which sectoral policies and government programs are developed. It presents continuity with the National Plan for Good Living 2009-2013, featuring 12 national objectives that include policies and strategies for each of them, plus an investment plan and a national territorial strategy to adapt national Objective and policies to territories. The revolutions stated in this this roadmap are in regard to: equity, comprehensive development, the Cultural Revolution, the Urban Revolution, the Agrarian Revolution and the Revolution of Knowledge.

Objectives

  1. Consolidate the democratic state and the construction of popular power;
  2. Foster equality, cohesion, inclusion and social and territorial equality in diversity;
  3. Improve the quality of life of the population;
  4. Strengthen the capacities and potentialities of citizenship;
  5. Create common meeting spaces; build and strengthen national identity, different identities, national diversity and multiculturalism;
  6. Consolidate the transformation of justice and strengthen comprehensive security, strict respect for human rights;
  7. Guarantee the rights of nature and promote regional and global environmental sustainability;
  8. Consolidate the social and solidary economic system in a sustainable manner;
  9. Ensuring decent work in all its forms;
  10. Promote the transformation of the productive matrix;
  11. Ensure the sovereignty and efficiency of the strategic sectors for industrial and technological transformation;
  12. Guarantee sovereignty and peace, and deepen strategic insertion in the world as well as Latin American integration.
Target population

All Ecuadorian population with emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.
