National financing Program that covers projects related to crops and agricultural activities of family farmers; it was first implemented in 2008 by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development, Banco do Brasil and other financial institutions. It has a budget of USD$9,000,000,000.

To increase production and productivity, by reducing production costs, increasing the income of family farming, through a credit line that aims to modernize production unit’s infrastructure by guaranteeing production technology for producers, its financing and, simultaneously, technical assistance.

Components and/or products

The credit line includes all projects related to crops and agricultural activities of family farmers, which are separated into four modalities for credits:

  • Financing storage structures;
  • Financing collective projects;
  • Financing activities related to pig farming, poultry farming and fruit growing;
  • Projects associated with the production of rice, beans, maize, cassava, wheat, vegetables, milk, goats, sheep, coffee, pigs and poultry.

The funding includes projects associated with rice production, beans, maize, cassava, wheat, and horticulture, milk, nuts, goats, sheep, and coffee, cattle for consumption, pork and poultry. Additionally, discounts are available for the purchase of machinery, tractors and different implements.
